About KMP Farm Vets
KMP Farm Vets PLLC was established in April of 2022. We provide completely mobile veterinary service for Food Animals in the Livingston, Shaiwassee, Saginaw, Genesee, Washtenaw, Oakland, and Ingham counties of South East Michigan. We service dairy, beef, goats, and sheep, Monday-Friday 8 am - 4 pm. We are excited to be here to serve the agricultural communities that feed Michiganders.
Dr. Kay Marinac-Prudente, DVM
Dr. Kay graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario in 2015, specializing in food animal medicine and surgery. She practiced down in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania for 6 years before moving to Milford, Michigan with her family. When she isn’t on farm calls, Dr. Kay enjoys gardening, cross stitching, knitting, and playing with (wrangling) her 2 gorgeous children.
Dr. Kay is a proud member of the American Association for Bovine Practitioners (AABP) as well as the American Association for Small Ruminant Practitioners (AASRP).
She is the current Chair of the Student Liaison Committee, which works to bridge North American veterinary students with the AASRP members. We provide mentoring and specialized education to students with a special interest in small ruminants, camelids, and cervids.
Dr. Kay is the 2025 Emerging Leader for the AASRP and is working on a student focused NAVLE preparation project. She hopes to continue leading within the organization and small ruminant industry.
She is also the Food Animal representative on the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) making sure the voices (and moos) of the Michigan agricultural community are heard.
Dr. Jessica Gordon, DVM
Dr Jessica Gordon joined KMP Farm Vets in July of 2025. A Michigan native, Dr Gordon attended Michigan State University for both her BS in Animal Science and her DVM with a focus on herd health and production medicine. Dr Gordon practiced in a dairy practice in Wisconsin before heading to Guelph, Ontario to pursue graduate studies. She obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Science from the Ontario Veterinary College in epidemiology and ruminant health management. Dr Gordon became a faculty member at the Ontario Veterinary College in 2013 where she specialized in teaching veterinary students (including Dr. Kay!), research and outreach in the beef industry, and providing on-farm clinical service beef, dairy, and small ruminant producers through the OVCs Ruminant Health Management Clinic.
A desire to return closer to home brought her to Michigan State University where she continued her work with veterinary students and the beef industry in Michigan through her work at the CVM and MSU Extension. Dr Gordon brings her love of teaching, beef cattle, and Michigan farmers to KMP.
If she's not working or hanging out with her husband or 2 children, Dr Gordon enjoys quilting, sewing, hiking, and reading way too many books!
